Budget Android smartphone manufacturer XOLO has launched the new Q700S in the Indian market for Rs. 9999. Most smartphones from other manufacturers in the sub Rs 10K price bracket tend to have a plastic exterior with matte finish but the XOLO Q700S manages to stand apart from the rest of the competition with the help of metallic finish. The smartphone boasts of a 4.5 inch IPS panel display which has got a FWVGA (480 x 854 pixels) resolution and a pixel per inch figure of 218 pixels per inch. Underneath we find a MediaTek MT6582M chipset which houses a 1.3 GHz quad-core processor, a 416 MHz Mali 400 MP2 GPU and 1GB of RAM which seems sufficient to handle Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean).
On the rear we find a 8MP BSI sensor with double LED flash and a VGA snapper on the front. As expected from any smartphone in this range you get an internal memory of 4GB and a microSD card slot to expand that storage to up to 32GB. The XOLO Q700S has Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0 and micro USB connectivity and A-GPS navigation. Its 1800 mAh battery is claimed to last for up 600 hours on standby and offer 23 hours of talk time.
