The Xolo Play Tegra Note is the latest tablet from the company that comes powered with Nvidia Tegra 4 1.8 GHz processor. The tablet features a 7-inch HD IPS LCD (1280 x 800 resolution) display and now bears a price of Rs. 17,999 in India. For gamers, it is important to note that this tablet has got tech specs speaking of a 72-core GeForce GPU and quad-core Cortex-A15 CPU. The tablet offers easy access to Tegra-optimized games with visual effects that aren’t available on other tablets. Therefore, Xolo Play Tegra Note is a nice tablet to run the popular graphic intensive games. The tablet features Android Jelly Bean OS without any customizations.

More on the tablet's features, we have a 5-megapixel rear camera and a VGA front-facing camera. Nvidia will be pushing over-the-air software updates updates rather than relying on its hardware vendor partners. The Dimensions 120mm x 190mm x 9.4mm of the tablet make it super easy to carry it around and the overall weight of 320 grams makes it pretty lightweight. The tech specs does not speak about the battery capacity but says that it provides 10 hours of video playback. Thanks to the battery saver core, we can expect the tablet to bring better power management thus enhancing its battery life. For connectivity though, there is Bluetooth 4.0, HDMI, micro USB 2.0, and WiFi. And for navigation there is GPS with GLONASS support.

The XOLO Play Tegra Note can be considered as the big brother of the XOLO Play T100 smartphone. Both the devices are backed by Tegra and offer good gaming experience. There were a few problems associated with the Play T1000 such as heating issues and smudge attracting screen. I hope they have addressed these problems on the tablet. The tablet might not be a breakaway hit considering its lack of brand value but if the tablet is as good as it claims it might catch on with its rivals.
