XOLO Introduces Omega Series Smartphones In India Starting At 8,999 INR

The fight between budget smartphones is getting tougher with every passing day. This fight is won by the phone which provides maximum specifications at minimum price. For the Indian smartphone market, XOLO has introduced two smartphones in its new Omega series. Packed with new and amazing features with an insanely low price (below 10 grand), the Omega Series is currently comprised of XOLO Omega 5.0 and XOLO Omega 5.5. The Indian smartphone market is always looking forward to such budget phones, so let's take a look at what they pack inside.

Talking about the similarities in both Omega 5.0 and 5.5, they have same 1.4 GHz MediaTek Tru Octa core processors paired with 1 GB of RAM. Both have internal storage of 8 GB and expandable to 32 GB. Connectivity option are also same Bluetooth 4.0, WiFi b/g/n and supports 3G networks, but no LTE. All Omega series phones run Hive UI built on top of Android Kitkat 4.4.

After all these similarities, let's see how they differ. Omega 5.0 sports a 5 inch 720p display with a pixel density of 294 ppi and Omega 5.5 has 5.5 inch display with same 720p display with pixel density of 267 ppi, clearly these phones are dubbed according to their screen size. Amazing feature that Hive series offer is the camera, both phones are equipped with Sony’s Exmor sensors. Hive 5.0 has a 8MP ExmorRS primary camera and 2 MP secondary camera.On the other hand Hive 5.5 has 13 MP ExmorIMX camera on back and 2 MP on front.

Looking at power source - Omega 5.0 packs a 2100 mAh battery inside a 10.5mm thick body and Omega 5.5 has a 2600 mAh battery inside 10.6mm thick body. Pricing of omega series is pretty descent, Omega 5.0 comes with a price tag of 8,999 INR and 5.5 prices 9,999 INR. Both phones are ready to join indian market by 10th December (Omega 5.0) and 20th December (Omega 5.5). Vodafone has also offered some special deals for the buyers of Omega series phones.
