Xiaomi Redmi 3 Pro: Fingerprint Scanner, 3GB RAM & 4100mAh Battery

After launching its Xiaomi Launches Smart Rice Cooker That Can Be Controlled With Your Smartphone, Xiaomi has launched the updated version of the Redmi 3. The smartphone titled Redmi 3 Pro was launched at the same event as the MIJIA launch. The highlight of the new Redmi 3 Pro is the presence of a fingerprint scanner on the rear. It is the same fingerprint scanner that made a debut on the Xiaomi Mi 5 Launched At MWC 2016: Snapdragon 820, Fingerprint Sensor & Android Marshmallow. The Redmi 3 Pro looks pretty much the same as its genesis and there are a few improvements underneath the hood as well. Xiaomi has added an additional GB of RAM and brought the RAM figure to 3GB. The RAM installed on the Redmi 3 Pro is a LPDDR3 RAM.

The Xiaomi Redmi 3 Pro features a 5-inch HD (1280 x 768) resolution display. Underneath the hood, we find a Qualcomm Snapdragon 616 SoC that houses a 1.7 GHz ARM Cortex A53 octa-core CPU, Adreno 405 GPU and of course the 3GB RAM that we talked about earlier. The internal memory of the Xiaomi Redmi 3 Pro stands at 32GB and you get a microSD card slot to expand that storage. In terms of photography on the Xiaomi Redmi 3 Prowe have a 13MP camera with PDAF and f/2.0 aperture on the rear and on the front we have got a 5MP camera with f/2.2 aperture.

The Xiaomi Redmi 3 Pro is a dual SIM enabled (hybrid SIM slot) 4G LTE equipped smartphone. The Xiaomi Redmi 3 Pro is powered by a 4100mAh battery that will suffice for almost two days. The smartphone runs Android 5.1.1 (Lollipop) that is topped up with MIUI 7. The Xiaomi Redmi 3 Pro features connectivity options such as Wi-Fi, microUSB and Bluetooth 4.0. Xiaomi Redmi 3 Pro will be available in Silver, Grey and Gold colour variants from April 6th in China for a price of 899 Yuan or 9,184 INR. The smartphone is expected to make its way into India soon.
