Xiaomi Mi 5 With 4GB RAM, 8 MP Front Camera Launching In November
Chinese electronics company Xiaomi released the #-Link-Snipped-# and #-Link-Snipped-# models in India in the month of April. And after this, if online sources are to be believed, Xiaomi is gearing up to launch Xiaomi Mi 5. A website called #-Link-Snipped-# leaked the specs of the device and is estimating the handsetâs release date to be in the month of November. Following are the leaked specs of the smartphone.
The phone will have a 5.5 inch screen of quad-HD resolution. It will run on the upcoming Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 SoC and will have a whopping 4 GB RAM. The rear camera of the device will be of 16 MP and will come with optical image stabilizer, while the front camera will be of 8 MP. It is expected that Xiaomi will release two variants of the phone-one with 16 GB internal memory and other with 64 GB internal memory. The extent of expandability of both the variants are not yet known. The battery size of the device will be 3000 mAh. Considering the other specs, it can be said that battery size seems insufficient, however performance issues can be confirmed only after the phone is reviewed.
Additionally, according to Mobile-dad, despite its 5.5 inch screen, the phoneâs thickness will be just 5.1mm. Since Xiaomi always shows competency when comes to the design of the phone, the fact that Mi 5 will be so thin wonât be much of a news. Hopefully, the slim design wonât create a heating or a battery issue. Also the phone is expected to have a fingerprint scanner which will utilize ultrasound technology as opposed to the digital optics technology used in todayâs fingerprint scanners because apparently ultrasound technology is more robust against dust and water.
Lastly, it is also possible that Xiaomi might release yet another variant of Mi 5 with a 6 inch screen and 2K resolution. The price of the device is yet unknown and as mentioned above, the release is expected sometime in the month of November.
