The Xiaomi Mi 4c was launched a few hours ago in China and it has caught the eyeballs of the world thanks to its excellent features and attractive price tag. Xiaomi knows how to deliver things on a budget and it starts off by throwing in a 5-inch ultra-thin narrow bezel 1080p resolution display with sunlight and night mode. In the photography department, Xiaomi has gone all out by adding a Sony IMX258 13MP camera with two-tone flash on the rear and a Samsung S5K3M2 5MP sensor on the front with ‘beautify’ software. This is the first smartphone from Xiaomi to feature USB Type C connector. In the past, some Xiaomi smartphones have faced criticism for their poor battery backup times, so China’s Apple has crammed in a whopping 3080 mAh high energy density battery that is laced with Qualcomm Quick Charge 2.0. Apart from the excellent hardware, Xiaomi has thrown in a couple of new features on the Mi 4c. The Mi 4c has a new Edge Tap feature that with a single tap takes selfies and a double tap acts as the back button for the smartphone. Xiaomi has thrown in user-requested features like “double tap to wake” and infrared remote on the Mi 4c along with 4G Dual SIM capability.

Unfortunately people in other countries, including India would not be able to enjoy Xiaomi Mi 4c because Xiaomi officials say that the smartphone will only be sold in the People's Republic of China. As you might have guessed the ‘c’ in the Xiaomi Mi 4c is for the multi colour variants of the smartphone. The Xiaomi Mi 4c will be sold in black, blue, orange, pink, and white colour variants and 16 and 32 GB memory variants for 1,399 Yuan (13,199 INR) and 1,499 Yuan (15,500 INR) respectively but in China only. Imagine if Xiaomi starts selling this globally, most of the smartphone players would go out of business.
