Bank will definitely give you a preference over the one from 'arts' or other backgrounds. But if someone is from finance / CA background - they'll get more preference over you. Yes. An engineer can take any job. Shankar Mahadevan is an engineer who is now a singer and and actor. Similarly there are engineers working as painters and scuba diving instructors. An engineer can take up any job.
