What is threshold current?

anyone can explain about threshold current?

    At first i thought you meanty threshold voltage, more my thing; but did a quick search on threshold current and it appears this describes a boundary when dealing with lasers. I think this is another name for lasing threshold, which describes the minimum amount of current required for a laser to start 'lasing'. you can look this up on wiki.
