WebOS On Every HP PC In 2012, Says HP CEO

HP's CEO Leo Apotheker today admitted that the company had lost its soul and it takes too long for HP's innovations to reach to the market. The company will try to get it back by making every PC they manufacture compatible with WebOS along with standard Windows installation.

HP acquired Palm - the company that created WebOS for the 'Pre' devices. HP plans to attract larger base of developers to its own operating system by offering an integrated experience over the mobile devices and the personal computers. The integration is currently being worked on and Apotheker wants to put more developers to work on their tablet and mobile device offerings than the desktops. Apotheker believes that innovation cannot be mandated and employees need to feel empowered in order to be innovative. It looks like Apotheker and Mark Hurd have had different policies altogether. Apotheker is also going a step ahead and re-hiring the quality assurance experts who Mark Hurd once fired from HP.
