Vu Launches Wide Range of LED TVs; Price Starts At Rs. 9000

Vu Technologies has launched 15 LED TVs today, from most affordable ones to high quality Ultra HD TVs. Reportedly, most of the TVs would be available exclusively on India’s e-commerce giant- Flipkart. These recently launched TVs include those with display as small as 19 inches to as large as 85 inches. These models include HD along with UHD LED TVs. As said by CEO Devita Saraf, the company is planning to increase its turnover to about Rs 300 crore in the year 2014-15.

The company has broadly divided the TV models in three separate categories- Personal TVs, Affordable luxury TVs and Hi-Fi UHD TVs. Vu Technologies, also known for Android TV is planning to launch a Windows TV soon, reports say. The company has joined hands with Flipkart that would make available recently launched LED TVs of sizes up-to 55 inches. Even larger TVs including UHD ones, would be available at Vu stores throughout India. Amitesh Jha, VP Retail, Flipkart claimed that earlier launched Vu TVs were well received by users and hence expressed confidence about this range of TVs too.

4K Vu LED TV is powered by Android and is also much cheaper than other TVs compared. The pricing of LED TVs launched today ranges from Rs 9000 to Rs 9,00,000 which covers LED TVs of all sizes. The personal TVs segment includes models of display size 19 inches to 40 inches. Among these are two models- 23.8”JL3 and LED-40K16 that offer Full HD (1080p) resolution while other models are HD (720p).

The affordable luxury TV sets would come in 4 sizes- 42, 50, 55 and 65 inches in the price range of Rs 32,000-Rs 1,60,000. All models in this segment offer Full HD experience. The Hi-Fi UHD 4K TVs would be available in six sizes ranging from 42 inches to 85 inches and cost starts from Rs 42,000. Models with display size 42 inches and 48 inches offer 4K resolution while all others are 4K 3D TVs. The 65 inches model LED-65XT800XWAU3D is a curved TV. All the TV sets would be available for sale from March 2015. We’ll let you know exact details, as the company declares specifications. Stay tuned.
