Volkswagen Launches Its New Ameo Sedan In India

German Automobile giant, Volkswagen has recently unleashed its new sub 4-meter length Sedan Ameo at the Chakan Plant in Pune, India. Aimed to enthrall adventure enthusiasts, this car could be called a perfect hybrid, a mix of classic touch and modernism. According to the production department, It features a German body that encloses an Indian heart.

At first glance, the car seems to breath elegance through its suave features and style statement. It possess a muscular frame made of Galvanized steel with sharp cuts as per design requirement. The Ameo boasts of a front bumper coupled with dual beam headlights, alloy framed heavy wheels and an electrically malleable exterior back-side mirrors, clipped with LED turn indicators. Following today's futuristic trend, the car also offers an aerodynamic design, with which eye-like tail lamps adding yet another feather in its cap.

As per the original documentation, the company is seen to be emphasizing on safety-security issues and taken it as their first priority. To aid in every possible way, the company added a Dual air bag system, Anti-Lock Braking system (diminish wheel locking when brake is pressed hard) and an Electronic Stabilization Program ( ESP-only available for DSG variants).

Highlighting the interiors, the car gives a decent specification list, a mixture of entertainment, safety and comfort. With leather stitched seats, it possesses a single-folding rear-seat backrest with a black theme in the background. Furthermore, the car comes packed with few smart systems like rain controlled digital wipers, cooled glove storage (works as a mini refrigerator) and Cruise Control system which keeps the interior unaffected by weather conditions prevalent outside. Plus, it also gives a center console with touchscreen enabled infotainment system.

Coming to the main segment engine; it provides both Petrol and Diesel variants. The petrol version features a 1.2 L, 3 Cylinder based MPI engine fused with a 5-speed manual gearbox ( output power : 74bhp and Torque: 110Nm) while the Diesel variant offers 1.5L, 4 Cylinder based TDI diesel mated with 7-Speed DSG automatic (output power: 88bhp and Torque: 230Nm). The Ameo will be available in 5 colour variants including Blue Silk, Reflex silver, Tofee Brown, Candy White and Carbon Steel. However, no cost related details have been officially released as yet.
