Triump Bonneville T100 Makes In To India With Rs. 7,78L Price Tag
Triumph Motorcycles | For the Ride has announced the availability of Bonneville T100 superbike in India. The T100 is now available for booking at Triumph showrooms for Rs. 7.78 lakh (ex-showroom in Delhi). Triumph is expected to add eleven more dealers all over India by the end of decade and as per report published in ET, the company is looking to be a market leader in the 500cc segment.
Triumph's India MD, Mr. Vimal Sumbly informed the media that the company wants to be number one lifestyle brand in India. The company has expanded its market share from 26% last year to 29% this year. Sumbly informed that the market size is about 10K bikes / year for 500cc motorcycles, but for the bikes priced Rs. 5L and above, the market size is just about 4000 units per year.
Triumph's got multiple international competitors in Indian markets like Harley Davidson, Ducati, Kawasaki and Suzuki Motorcycles Japan. The company is working with financial institutions like HDFC to offer innovative financing options for the potential customers.
The Bonneville T100 is quite a rugged machine. At its heart is a 900cc parallel-twin motor that produces 55PS at 5900 rpm and 80Nm at 3230 rpm. The power transmission is handled by a 5-speed gearbox. Also included are ABS along with accessories like ride-by-wire which allows for different riding modes, traction control etc.
