Tried Slack?

Since speaking at WordCamp Mumbai 2015, I have been introduced to Slack. WordPress dev co-ordination and discussion happens on Slack (and anyone is free to join). What's more awesome is that organization can start freely using this!

I am trying it out for 13 Llama Studio and loving the simple and co-ordinated updates I can get. Some of the simple usecases that I appreciate -
  • Git commits to repo messaged to specific project chatrooms
  • Trello cards and To-dos messaged to specific project chats
  • Dedicated uptime chat for tracking service outage
  • Curation of content for specific teams (dev, webmaster, social, marketing, strategy, etc) via IFTTT
Have you folks tried this out, yet?

I had tried Slack long time ago, but except for the interface, I didn't find anything that'd make me use it. Looks like I'll have to try the new features.
