I am planning to write a book on R programming. Can anyone help me with different areas (class of functions) offered by R so that I can organize my content. From what I have seen or heard so far, R provides following class of functions: -

- Class of functions to manipulate data items and perform calculations on them.
- Matrix operations
- File operations where the data stored in a file is processed and analyzed
- Representation of data in the form of plots, graphs etc.
- Analysis tools like correlation function etc.
- Simulation of a mathematical event
I am interested in broad functionalities offered by R language.
