This robot will put your sense of balance to shame! - BallP!
Dr. Masaaki Kumagai, director of Tohoku Gakuin University's Robot Development Engineering Laboratory has developed BallP - a robot that will put all human balancing skills to shame. The robot uses three omni-directional wheels which enable the robot to balance on a ball!
A combination of motors, micro-step controllers, gyroscopes, and accelerometers allows BallP to maintain perfect balance.
