Sony Xperia M4 Aqua Dual Water Resistant Mobile Arrives For INR 24,990

Sony, the Japanese tech-giant has launched its new smartphone called 'Xperia M4 Aqua' in India. Introduced at the MWC 2015 event in Barcelona in March this year, this smartphone caused a buzz in the world of smartphones owing to its dust and water resistant capability. The smartphone supports 4G LTE technology and thus with its launch in India, it will support Indian 4G bands. The phone is dual-SIM and will be available in Black, White and Coral colour variants.

Coming to the specifications: the handset flaunts a 5-inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen display with HD (720x1280p) resolution. It runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop and is powered by 64-bit octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 (quad-core 1.5GHz + quad-core 1.0GHz), coupled with 2GB of RAM and Adreno 405 GPU. For clicking photos, it comes with 13-MP stunning autofocus camera and 5-MP front facing camera, whcih offers 88 degree field of view. The camera also features Sony Exmor RS mobile image sensor.

The handset comes with an internal memory of 16 GB which is expandable via microSD card to 128 GB. Packed under 145.5mm x 72.6mm x 7.3mm box is a 2400 mAh battery that claims to deliver talk time of 13 hours, with 779 hours of standy time.

Sony Xperia Aqua dual is equipped with Bluetooth 4.1, NFC, A-GPS. Like all the smartphines of this generation, it also support WiFi and USB connectivity. The phone weighs 140 grams and is water-proof, but it can only be submerged in water upto a depth of 1.5 metres.
