Sony Xperia E4 Specifications Revealed At Launch - The New 5 Inch Android Smartphone Is Here
Sony has announced the global launch of Sony Xperia E4 smartphone today. Back in September 2014, the Sony Xperia E3 and its Dual-SIM variant was launched in India just after the grand unveiling at IFA 2014. This time around, way ahead of the Mobile World Congress (MWC 2014) event, Sony has unveiled their latest Android device in the Xperia series with E4 smartphone. Running on Android 5.0 Lollipop out-of-the-box, the Xperia E4 features 1.3 GHz Quad Core processor and a Adreno 330 graphics unit. We took this chance to take a look at the complete specifications list of the smartphone. Let's find out all the specs highlighted by the company.
Weighing 144 grams, the E4 smartphone is pretty non-slim at 10.5 mm. Its 5 inch screen features 960 x 540 pixel resolution and a scratch-resistant glass. A 2300 mAh battery that powers the smartphone is said to offer talk time of up to 12.5 hours and stand by time up to 696 hours. The 5 megapixel camera on the phone's rear end comes with 4x digital zoom, 1080p HD video recording, auto scene recognition, image stabilizer as well as geotagging. On the front, there's a 2 megapixel snapper that can capture 720p videos.
On the connectivity front, the Sony Xperia E4 features aGPS, Bluetooth 4.1, 3.5 mm audio jack, USB High speed 2.0 and Micro USB support, Wi-Fi and WiFi Hotspot functionality. Last but not the least, Sony Xperia E4 packs 1 GB RAM, 8 GB flash memory and up to 32 GB microSD support.
If we look at the phone's design and looks, we find a curved edges, a stainless steel camera ring, a textured back panel and a diamond-cut aluminium power button. The Sony Xperia E4 and Sony Xperia E4 Dual will be available in Black and White colour variants. Among other 5-inch smartphones, the ones ruling the roost includes Xiaomi Mi4, Asus Zenfone 5, Micromax Yu Yureka and Samsung Galaxy E5 and E7.
