Sonos 5.0 App Introduced - Six New Features That Make Your Heart Grow Fonder

Sonos app was first launched in March with an aim to let users play and control their favorite music from a single place. By introducing the new version of their app with Sonos 5.0, the company has come up with a plethora of new and useful features. The newest arrivals on the app include - Google Play Music, Beats Music, MLB and Shuffler.fm. For the uninitiated - Sonos a system of HiFi wireless speakers and audio components. With the new app now available on iOS and Android devices, users can keep their digital music collection in one location and access features such as follows.

First of all, Sonos 5.0 now bring some of the world’s most popular music streaming services such as - Pandora, Google Play and Shuffler.fm at your fingertips. The "Universal Search" feature offers one window to quickly search across all your music services. Users can search for a new album of a particular artist, a new radio station and even land up on different version such as live performances, remixes and covers of the same music track. Another feature lets users have shortcuts using simple one-touch control from the Now Playing screen. Now you can easily turn on shuffle, repeat, cross-fade or set timers at the bottom of the Now Playing window.


Users can set alarms tones to the music they love. From the bottom of the menu screen, users can set multiple alarms on as many speakers as you like. Moreover, you can mix all your favorite songs from Beats Music, Spotify as well as the iTunes library into a single playlist. Last, but not the least, users can control all the rooms in their house from a single touch in the new app. Play different music in each room or group them to play the same song simultaneously.
