Skoda Rapid Leisure Launched In India For Rs. 7,79,000. What's New?

Skoda Rapid Leisure, a special edition of the entry level Sedan from Skoda Auto India has been launched with a price tag of Rs. 7,79,000; ex-showroom Delhi. The Rapid Leisure is available in petrol and diesel engine variants and will be available for sale only for very limited time. There are a few things that have been added in this edition. Here's a summary of what's new in this model-
  • Reverse camera along with parking sensors
  • A portable navigation system
  • Door Still Covers
  • 15" alloy wheels
  • Artificial leather seat
  • Leisure badging.
The car is available in Ambition Plus trim level with two engine and two gearbox options. The 105 Bhp-153 Nm petrol engine offers 5-speed manual gearbox and a 6-speed automatic varient. The 1.6 liter TDI engine offers 105 Bhp-250 Nm and a 5-speed manual gearbox.
The price of the car starts at Rs. 7.79 lakh while the petrol varient with auto-gearbox is priced at Rs. 8.79 lakh. The price of the diesel powered varient starts at Rs. 9.06 lakh rupees. All the prices mentioned above are ex-showroom Delhi.
The Rapid cars from Skoda are basically a varient of Vento. It even shares the assembly line with Vento at Chakan factory in Pune.

    Good to see a new upgrade in Rapid model from Skoda.
    The price seems to be okay with ordinary rapid starting at 7.79L and 6speed auto gear box really impresses me a lot.
    For a class of Sedan with all additional features Skoda gonna make some growth in indian market.
