Sennheiser Brings Its Urbanite Headphones To India

After first #-Link-Snipped-# them to the world in CES 2015 which happened back in January, German audio company Sennheiser is now bringing its Urbanite series headphones to India. The series consists of three headphones named Urbanite, Urbanite XL and Urbanite XL wireless. The audio specialist company which is famous worldwide for its excellent earphones and headphones is claiming that the Urbanite headphones provide great clarity for any frequency range.

Out of the three, Urbanite XL and XL wireless are over-the-ear headphones while Urbanite is of on-the-ear kind. Both of these come with hinges and have soft ear pads to prevent disturbance from external noise and thus providing comfort in case of continuous usage. The wireless variant can be controlled with either Bluetooth 4.0 or NFC. On the right ear cup, it has got a touch control panel to adjust the volume or to skip the current track. It can be done simply by sliding a finger across a panel or by tapping it.

As per the company, Urbanite XL wireless supports apt-X codec and thus provides clear and great quality sound. Also, pairing with as many as 8 devices is possible and simultaneous connection to two devices is attainable thanks to the use of latest Bluetooth standards. It provides 25 hours of continuous usage and because it is collapsible, it can be easily folded and kept in the supplied pouch.

Both Urbanite and Urbanite XL are common simple, basic headphones with no especially mentionable features. Only thing is that they are of two types- ‘i’ for iOS and ‘g’ for Android. Additionally, along with the headphones a universal detachable cable having microphone is provided too to take calls while on the move. The XL wireless is available only in black colour while Urbanite and Urbanite XL is available in denim, sand, plum, nation and black colours. Considering the company that is providing it and the quality, the cost naturally is high. The XL wireless will cost Rs 24,990 while Urbanite and Urbanite XL will cost Rs 15,990 and Rs 19,990 respectively.
