A Titanium Dioxide coating for exteriors of buildings uses sunlight to catalyze organic deposits and smog to harmless residues. The free draining nature of the coating allows self cleaning in Rain.

durga ch"so after cleansing itself with harmful chemicals, what happens to this water???" is what i wonder -
Ramani AswathIt is true that these chemicals end up on the ground and probably into the ground water. That happens even if you do not clean. The process does not add any new pollutant.

durga chnot adding additonal pollutants sounds green, but again ending up in ground water wont make the newer method any different from already existing pollutants. I am not trying to be crtical here . Just a thought.

Ramani AswathThat is not what I meant. In any case all those pollutants would have ended in the ground water. However, the catalytic conversion renders the chemicals harmless.
