Project Abstract / Summary : 1.1 Introduction

An electronic health record is a digital collection of patient health information compiled at one or more meetings in any care delivery setting. A patient's record typically includes patient demographics, progress notes, problems, and medications, vital signs, past medical history, immunizations, laboratory data and radiology reports. The term EHR is often used to refer to the software platform that manages patient records maintained by a hospital or medical practice.

There are some countries which have already implemented health care systems, the population of India lives in rural areas and its healthcare system often struggles to meet their needs. Providing equitable access and timely care for rural populations is an important issue for healthcare reform with long term management of chronic diseases being one of the major healthcare challenges in India.

The role of hospitals in the American health care system is changing rapidly, and some believe that hospitals may be replaced by networks of professionals and institutions tied together to coordinate care and promote health the so called virtual hospital. For many rural communities, however, the hospital has been the most effective form of health care delivery in the community

1.2 Need

The main purpose of this system is to store the patient record on cloud server and getting access to various doctor for handle patient record electronically from the cloud server.

(1) Aid rural health workers with preventive medicine and public health efforts, and

(2) To improve integration of care between different levels of the healthcare system.






1.3 Basic Concepts

1. This patient information will be maintained and exchange over network efficiently and securely. The analysis can be made in such a way that in any particular area how many patients of any particular disease and using this analysis government or any health care system can take preventive decision.
   
   
2. The doctor will have complete control on patient record their EHR files to allow fine grained access.
   
   
3. It is able to handle efficient and on demand user revocation.
   
   
4. Secure and Enhance Rural HealthCare Using Cloud Computing preserves integrity, confidentiality, provides authentication for patient’s data.
   
   
5. It prevents the unauthorized contributors to gain write access to owners EHRs.
   

1.4 Objective

As Electronic health record (EHR) contain all information about patient maintaining and organizing these records is very necessary to give security to it. This system helps to properly maintain records of chronic disease. One important thing about analysis about disease in terms of how many patients are there in particular area for any particular disease, with this analysis government and medical institutes can take the preventive actions.

1.5 Application

As Electronic health record (EHR) contain all information about patient so it can be useful in various areas such as

• Medical field like in hospital to keep the patient record securely.
  
  
• As EHR is stored on cloud Health Insurance Company can be reliable in cloud. since it only allows authorized access.
  
  
• It maintain data integrity since it does not allow any unauthorized user to access the data.
  

Why did you choose to work on this project topic : basicaly our topic is used in socity and it will give analysis results using hadoop which will be useful for meadical instituts or government.and this cloud computing and hadoop technologys are new and very effective thats why we will choose this topic.
