Samsung Galaxy S6 Could Have Curved Screens On The Front, Right And Left Sides

Two weeks ahead of the biggest tech event of the year, the 'Mobile World Congress 2015' is set to kick off, rumor mongers have laid there hands on some of the most interesting (and well surprising too!) piece of information. The latest rumors surrounding the much anticipated Samsung Galaxy S6 smartphone, suggest that it could be a three-sided phone, meaning that it will have curved screens on three sides right, left and the usual front. Though we can't say for sure if the phone would be curved in nature on all three sides as far as hardware is concerned, some tech blogs report that they are expecting a fancy effect instead.

The rumors came to light when Bloomberg reported about two versions of the new Samsung Galaxy S6, one of which could get the interesting wraparound screen. Another rumor suggested that the new set of Galaxy smartphones will be manufactured using plastic, not metal. The company had amazed everyone with their flagship Galaxy Note Edge smartphone's curved screen that bends around just one corner to display notifications on that side. It is now also being suggested that the Galaxy S6 could let users add favourite contacts and have some shortcuts displayed on the curved screen on the side, so as to enhance easy accessibility.

Though there's not much to dig on, where the specifications are concerned. All we know as of now is that Galaxy S6 will have a 5.1 inch screen, Android Lollipop, a 20 megapixel rear camera and probably a 50% faster processor. Working on the battery life, Samsung might introduce an enhancement that lets the phone run for 4 hours on a 10 minute wireless recharge.

That said, we will all find out more on the Samsung Unpacked event is scheduled for March 1, 2015. What are your thoughts on and expectations from the new Samsung Galaxy S6? Share with us in comments below.
