The reason for this extended battery life has been attributed to the company’s Mirasol display technology which involves the use of interferometric modulator display for better sunlight legibility. In terms of design, #-Link-Snipped-# says that the battery is not in the watch itself but on the clasp. The company takes pride in announcing the fact that the smartwatch does not have even a single button and it remains on all the time. The price tag of $300 might sound a little outrageous but read on to know why the product is worth your every penny.


The smartwatch is charged wirelessly, all you have to do is slip in the Toq smartwatch into its case and it will recharge itself. With this smartwatch the company throws in a Bluetooth headset as well which too can be recharged in the same way as the watch. If you are an audiophile, you would love to know that there is “Premium Audio Edition” in which you get two wireless Bluetooth earphones for a truly wireless stereo audio experience. Now even if we are not aware of the price of this variant, it would be lovely too get rid of the pesky wires for good. The Toq smartwatch for the meanwhile only supports Android 4.0.3 and above mobile devices and iOS functionality will be added soon. The smartwatch performs the usual functions like call notifications, text messages, remainders and helps you to control music playback. Toq will also give you weather information along with stock quotes.
