Python is still geek to Indian It firms

#-Link-Snipped-#

Why do you think?

I think, IT firms mostly use Java or .NET and its difficulty to find quality programmers anyway.

Looking at frequency of Python posts here on CE, its greek here too 😛

    C & Java dominate CE.

Well, two different issues can't be clubbed into one. If anyone's to be blamed, then blame the companies like Infy, TCS and and all the 'IT' companies that demand people to know C, C++, Java and ".Net" (quotes are intentional!). Let them start demanding Python, Perl, Ruby and see we'll have a flood of engineers who'll 'know' those languages. CE's majority of traffic is Indian, and that's why the posts related to Java, .Net, C, C++ are majority in number.

PS: Someone help us find a kick butt PHP programmer? 😉

It would be very wrong of me if I implied to blame on CE. My intention was not that. CE exactly reflects what our Indian students are into
