Pixar In A Box - Studio Teams With Khan Academy For Free Online Courses On Animation

Cartoon/anime enthu-cutlets of all ages, take note. If you've ever wanted to pursue the art of creating a cartoon, but killed the desire only because the course fee was way out your budget, here's a happy news. Pixar Animation Studios together with Khan Academy has recently released the first batch of #-Link-Snipped-#, that offers you (the maker) a rare insider account of how Pixar creates the world and characters you witness on-screen.

The PIAB course teaches complex mathematics through real-life animation challenges, like the importance of parabola in shaping grass in BRAVE, or of combinatorics in creating the robot crowd in WALL-E.

Those who're well beyond their age to enroll at the Pixar University (there's one inside the studios, in case you did not know), PIAB is the welcome door you might want to enter.
