Order Aakash Tablet Or Pre-Book UbiSlate7 Online - Booking Opened, Delivery In One Week

Aakash,#-Link-Snipped-#, about which a lot has been discussed till now, is now available for buying online. You can order it now or  pre-book it's upgraded version i.e. Ubislate7 starting today. The official website claims that the delivery will be done in a week’s time. UbilSlate7 will be available by the last week of January, 2012.

[​IMG]Datawind, the company behind these tablets, says that Aakash Tablet is a student version, while UbiSlate7 is the more advanced and sophisticated version. Hence, there is a price difference between the two. The Telecom and Education Minister, Kapil Sibbal, said at the launch of Aakash, "The rich have access to the digital world, the poor and ordinary have been excluded. Only 10,000 tablets have been procured by the government. If you look at the configuration of the tablets, you get 256MB RAM & extendable memory upto 32 GB.
