Oppo Unveils A59 In China - Features VoLTE Support And 13 MP Camera

The metal clad mid range smartphone features a 5.5-inch HD (720 x 1280 pixels) IPS display with a pixel density of 267 ppi. Priced at CNY 1,799 (approximately Rs. 18,500) it will be available in two variants of Gold and Rose Gold colors. The device runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop with 32 GB of inbuilt storage; supporting an expandable storage via microSD card of up to 128 GB.

It also packs an octa-core MediaTek MT6750 processor clocked at 1.5 GHz paired with 3 GB of RAM. The battery sealed inside is 3,075 mAh one, which can easily last through one full day without any issues. The dual SIM supported device has a physical home button on the front that comes integrated with the fingerprint sensor. Connectivity options include 4G LTE, Bluetooth 4.1, dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, FM Radio, a Micro USB port (with OTG support), and a 3.5 mm headphone jack.

There is a provision for company’s ColorOS 3.0 UI on top while on photography front it boasts of a 13-megapixel rear camera with an LED flash and PDAF (phase detection autofocus). Videos can be recorded at 1080p resolution and there is a 8-megapixel front-facing snapper on board as well.

Oppo A59 will be available for sale via company’s official online store, starting June 18th. There is no information available yet regarding its launch in international markets.
