Oppo Neo 5s Silently Listed On Its Global Website

The Chinese mobile manufacturer, Oppo has quietly unveiled a new smartphone- Neo 5s. The smartphone is listed on the company’s global #-Link-Snipped-# but there is no information on the availability and price of the phone. Notably, the Neo 5s is a successor to Neo 5 which was launched last year.

As far as the specifications are concerned, the phone flaunts a 4.5-inch (480x854 pixels) FWVGA IPS TFT display (same as its predecessor) and runs on Android 4.4.2 KitKat with Color OS 2.0.1 on top of it and support for gloved and wet touch input. The interior of the OPPO Neo 5s is designed with a double-layer metallic structure for a more compact, thin, and seamless body. It is equipped with a 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 (MSM8916) processor coupled with an Adreno 306 GPU, 1GB of RAM and 8GB of built-in storage that can be expanded up to 128 GB via microSD card.

The device sports an 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera. It is more photosensitive, has a higher resolution, and can block infrared light effectively. Other camera features include scene detection, Panaroma, Geo-tagging, double exposure, smile shot, and HDR options. Like its predecessor, the Neo 5s also features 4G LTE connectivity, supported by both SIMs card slots. The dual-SIM based smartphone supports one Micro-SIM and another Nano-SIM. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Micro-USB, A-GPS, 3.5mm audio jack, FM radio, ambient light sensor, g-sensor, and magnetometer. It packs a 2000mAh non-removable battery, weighs 135 grams, and will be available in Black and White colours.
