OnePlus Two Features Leaked - Will Pack Surprises

It's no brainer that OnePlus' engineers and designers aren't sitting idle watching people jump over each other to buy the OnePlus One. They have been working on the successor to the One, likely to be called "OnePlus Two". Business Insider reports that sources closer to the situations inside Chinese OnePlus have revealed a few updates about what to expect from the OnePlus 2; the phone likely to launch in the Q3 or Q4 next year. There's no concrete information yet, but this is what's making rounds -

The OnePlus Two will be a lot more customizable than the OnePlus One. For example, the Bamboo style back covers of the phone were discontinued after the production faced issues. It's expected that OnePlus team will ensure that the phone's more customizable by producing variety of back-covers in wood, denim and Kevlar styles. The second leak hints at a cheaper price point! We learn that the next phone is going to be more budget friendly than most of the off-contract Android phones. OnePlus will continue to keep the margins thin (single digit dollar, we learned).


The third leak points at the phone packing a lot of surprises on the software and hardware side. It's likely that OnePlus Two will have more sensors (biometric sensor, retina sensor, humidity sensor et al). Considering that the OnePlus runs on Cyanogenmod; we may not see surprises on the software side but we'd love to be proven wrong.
