Ocean Observatories Initiative Could Be One of The Largest Telescopes of The Oceans

The Ocean Observatories Initiative or the OOI is a NSF-Funded program that has been taken forth to study every nook and corner of the oceans. Carrying on its shoulders the tasks like studying of climate variability, ocean circulation, ecosystem dynamics, air-sea exchange, seafloor processes, and plate-scale geodynamics, the OOI will try to understand, predict and manage our oceans. Taking the science research to never-seen before directions, the OOI will  explore the complexities of Earth-ocean-atmosphere interactions and send the recorded data back to a massive data infrastructure. This date will be immensely useful for oceanographers, scientists and general public and due to the vastness of its activity, Inhabitat #-Link-Snipped-# the 'Hubble Telescope' for observing the world’s oceans.

Going under water is definitely easier now than because of the wide range of available remotely operated and autonomous vehicles that can go deeper and deeper.
