Nokia Asha 205 & Asha 206 At $62 Bring New Hope To Budget Phones

Nokia has launched two new mobiles phones today - The Nokia Asha 205 and Asha 206. Now the Nokia Asha 205 phone is being publicized as the phone that is 'Most Social Ever'. And its not just the QWERTY keyboard that will make posting status updates easier, but the fact that this phone features a dedicated Facebook Button.  Yes, with a 2.4 inch screen, Asha 205 has a VGA camera, 10MB free user memory and extendable memory of up to 32GB. For connectivity purposes, you have support for GPRS/EDGE and Bluetooth 2.1. There is a dual-sim variant of this phone too and interestingly, this phone will see the debut of a brand new sharing technology called Nokia Slam. Its working is simple - Take photos, choose ‘Send’ and then press ‘Slam’ from the list. The phone will detect all the nearest Bluetooth-enabled devices and offer the file to them.

Next one on the block is Nokia Asha 206 with near similar specifications. There is the 2.4-inch screen and a 1.3-megapixel and camera. But, the memory and connectivity specs are just the same as Nokia 205. Both of these phones will be available in the market by Q4 of 2013 and the pricing is same for both phones at $62 USD.
