After last summer's Twitter's decision of not renewing its search deal with Google, Twitter has been paying more attention to improve its own search capabilities.

Looks like with today's latest twitter's official blog they are showing some nice features of their search capabilities. Twitter introduced a list of features out of them major were search auto-complete and ‘People you follow’ search results to twitter.com.

Search autocomplete shows the most likely terms for the entered query.
However, in second improvement when user searchs for a name like ‘CrazyBoy’ you’ll see results mentioning the person’s real name and their Twitter account username.

Twitter's trying to build upon their own ecosystem. But I'd be concerned about their overall sustainability model. Search improvements are okay; but there's not enough 'different things' to search, I guess.

On a related note: Breaking a search deal with Google was not a nice decision for both the companies.
