New Facebook Option Invites Users' Wrath

Following stiff competition by both Twitter and Google+ in the social networking sector, Facebook is trying hard to surprise its users with more and more features and some constant makeover to make the whole digital experience quite user friendly. But instead of increasing the excitement, all that they are doing is creating a lot of confusion in our heads and inviting a lot of wrath in the process.

Quite recently, a report #-Link-Snipped-# of a new option of automatic friend request that has recently been installed in Facebook is not very well taken by the users. This new addition feature goes through sending friend requests on its own and this is something people are not ready to cope with. According to the users, this feature is sending requests to even those who they wish to ignore. This is the reason of people getting off internet forums which totally believe that this is a downright invasion of privacy and personal choices and that this feature should be discarded immediately.

A technology blogger stated that this may be a way to up their revenue. Where verified email addresses sell for 20 cents to one dollar each, if they are able to extract 100,000 verified email addresses from Facebook, then that is likely worth more than 20,000 dollars to the spammers. Many people do not want their personal picks to be made by someone else, so they want Facebook to remove it immediately. They believe that while developing a new feature, Facebook should makeover according to the needs of the people, or not at all. Hope the designers are listening.
