Navigation Made Easy By TomTom’s VIA Series of GPS Devices

GPS system developers TomTom have announced that their latest range of GPS devices called the VIA series is available in the markets. This new line of the GPS systems for vehicles presents a hell lot of new features. Prominent amongst these are a few important things such as the sleek design with a highly developed and sophisticated software platform. It also boasts of loads of first class safety features such as Bluetooth Hands-free Calling and Intuitive Voice Recognition. The models available in the VIA series include the 4.3 inch VIA1405 and 1435 as well as the 5 inch VIA1505 and 1535. These models are also available with Lifetime Maps and/or Lifetime Traffic.

TomTom had given a prior intimation about these products at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES 2011).

The new design is one of the most important external characteristics distinguishing the VIA series models from its predecessors. Now you can spoil yourself with the stylish and extraordinarily slim outline. It also has a brand new, super cool, integrated, foldable EasyPort mount. The main advantage of this mount is that it can be used to comfortably place and position the device on the dashboard or the windshield. The display can be oriented with the help of flip screen feature. The devices are available in two awesome textured body types: one is the classic, black finish and the other is the in-vogue brushed aluminum finish.

The devices offer loads of premium safety features such as Bluetooth Hands-free Calling which enables the driver to keep his focus on the road ahead of him and both his hands on the steering wheel. The advanced Intuitive Voice Recognition facilitates the task of giving voice commands to the GPS device. So, now the driver can simply tell the VIA series GPS model, “ Take me to the 24th Street, Anywhere, Canada” in one go rather than breaking up the address  into city, state, street, street number, etc.
