Motorola Xoom Wi-Fi Users Face Problems Regarding Movie Apps

Looks like the hurdles in the path of Motorola’s recently launched tablet Xoom do not seem to abate easily. The news is that the users of wi-fi versions of the Xoom tablet are not able to access the new movies tab.

The Motorola Xoom tab is available in wi-fi version as well as 3G version. A few days ago, Motorola announced that those with the 3G version will receive an update from honeycomb Android version 3.0 to 3.1, which will be free over the air. The update supported peripheral USB support, additional Bluetooth options and total support for Adobe Flash Player version 10.2. At the very instant, Motorola prompted that those with wi-fi versions of the tablet, my have to wait for several weeks to receive the update. Now, the thing is, in spite of Motorola clearly avowing this, many users reported that their wi-fi tablet version was successfully updated to Android version 3.1. The Motorola Company however could not possibly figure out the reason behind the discrepancy and told their officials to refrain from posting anything.

This was the first time there was a buzz about the problems in the wi-fi version. Now again the users of tablet report that they are not able to access the new Movies tab. The official statement from a company’s Support Forums Manager did not reveal much about the reason behind this but it straightaway confirmed to omission. The manager said that the Movies tab will not be there in the updated wi-fi versions of the tablet. However he stated that those having Motorola Xoom from Verizon can enjoy the Movie application after the update to 3.1.

Again, there was no certain thing said by the manager as to how long will the users have to wait to enjoy the Movie tabs but the wait can be several weeks long. It was only indicated that Google will it available soon in future. This is certainly not good on the company’s part and the users have to face disappointments. After the company mightily unveiled its tablet at the launch, such news have produced an anticlimax. On one hand the movies feature is expected to come in smartphones anytime, the Xoom wi-fi version users may have to wait weeks long.
