Missing One's
Project Abstract / Summary : Our aim is to develop an application that allows any person, government organization(police, army, security forces), NGO’s, private organization to upload the information of any missing person’s report with all its details such as photograph, height, weight, age, other physical details. Such that these details are easily accessible to anyone connected through internet around the globe so that anyone can easily publish the details as well as all the organizations and people are able to access each other’s records.
It provides the whole list of missing persons “on the go” on the mobile/smart phone and further the phone acts the tool which holds the details of missing persons list and their details which helps in finding the missing person.
The application will be available on mobile platforms so as to provide mobility, easy access as well as better connectivity.
The application seeks to complement the services of the Police /CID Department who have assured unstinted efforts to help identify the missing person brought to their notice through this application.
The application also gives you details of what you need to do, once you notice that your family member/friend/or person you know is "missing" or as a concerned citizen/organization you find a person who has lost his moorings and is in need of help.
You can now enter the particulars in the application and fill the reporting form available. After verification & authentication of the details provided by you, your report will be published and you will receive "found persons" alerts and can check on the status of search for the person reported missing by you.

Why did you choose to work on this project topic : The project is totally based on social issue that is directly or indirectly related to crime. we are still using the old conventional sources like posters and announcements to deal with such a heinous issue. introducing a little bit of technology may prove to be a great innovation.
• Future Advancements
• In future some latest searching techniques like “Google Goggles” and facebook’s “face detection techniques” can be used so as to provide a better searching options and more effective working of the application.
• Application would be made available on all the platforms (Windows, ios, Android, Mac).
• Other applications like online FIR’s, lost and found reports, downloadable forms, police verification and other such services could also be made available through single application providing multiple services at a single destination
• Portable electronic kiosk could be setup at police stations and other areas where people have a easy and fast access.
