Microsoft And Accenture Collaborate To Develop A Hybrid Cloud Platform
Technology giant Microsoft Corporation and Accenture have decided to take their long-standing relationship further and make a cross platform cloud service. Accenture Hybrid Cloud Solution for Microsoft Azure will be a cloud platform which will allow the upcoming and relatively new technologies to migrate and manage applications between private and public clouds. It will be possible to do so in a controlled and unified method– on requirement and at speed from a single console.
A hybrid cloud is an integrated cloud service that utilizes both private and public clouds to perform distinguished functions within the same organization. According to the Accenture chief technology officer, Paul Daugherty, although there are many hybrid cloud platforms available today, but the problem with those is that they are broken into fragments. It means that the technologies used for different workloads isn’t the same. Additionally, there have been quite a many security concerns with those services. The Accenture Hybrid Cloud Solution will provide a cohesive, integrated approach to the hybrid cloud. This will allow the enterprises to tap into the full potential of the cloud services and provide an agile and efficient way to transform into digital businesses.
An example of the hybrid solution is being tested at Freeport-McMoRan one of the largest international natural resource companies. The company is working on securely connecting, and capturing data from the trucks, drills and other assets in the mine. The platform would provide a method in the form of a mobile dashboard to analyze and respond to real time situations in the mine.
Right now, Microsoft Azure provides enterprise performance and hybrid capabilities to connect to the Windows Server with Azure pack running in customer data centers. While, Accenture Cloud Platform supports multi-platform environments and management ability like reliability and security that the customers expect. The Accenture Hybrid Cloud will bring together Microsoft Azure and Accenture's own tools to efficiently manage hybrid clouds. The platform will be launched next year.
