Micromax Funbook Pro Launched For Rs. 9,999; Alpha & Infinity to Arrive Soon

If you thought #-Link-Snipped-#was good, the next tablet in the Funbook series is sure to change that. The more powerful Micromax Funbook Pro is launched today. This 10.1 inch (25.6 cm) tablet runs Android 4.0.3 (Ice Cream Sandwich) on a 1.2GHz Cortex A8 processor on 1GB of DDR3 RAM along with Dual Mali – 200 graphics processing unit. The 10.1 inch TFT-LCD capacitive multi touch screen has a resolution of 1024*600 pixels which is higher than the initial Funbook. The tablet has an internal NAND flash memory of 8 GB and external memory can go up to 32 GB by the help of microSD cards. The connectivity features include 3G via external USB Dongle, Wi-Fi, USB, 3.5mm jack and an HDMI port. The tablet includes a 0.3MP front camera for video chat purposes. The tablet is powered by a 5600mAh battery which is claimed to provide a backup of 5 hours on average use. Available in slate grey color it comes at Rs. 9,999 and can be bought from their official website, shopping websites  and electronic stores across the country.

In this launch event Micromax also informed that having considered the success of the Funbook, two new models called as ‘Alpha’ and ‘Infinity’ will be released soon. The cheaper Alpha has been targeted at enterprise customers and will miss out the HDMI port, while Infinity will feature a rear 2MP camera for the first time in the Funbook series.
