Meizu Pro 6S with 12 MP camera, 3060 mAh battery, deca-core SoC unveiled in China
In a bid to improve upon its predecessor, Pro 6, Meizu has unveiled an upgraded Pro 6S with bigger battery and better camera components. Pro 6S comes with a 5.2 inch 1080p AMOLED pressure-sensitive touchscreen display, a MediaTek Helio X25 deca-core processor with Mali T880 MP4 GPU , 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage which is non expandable.
The aluminum unibody design with curved edges, and the antenna bands are the same as found on the Pro 6. The battery feature however sports an upgrade with Pro 6S at 3,060 mAh compared to 2,560 mAh version of Pro6. It also features a provision of 24W charger for fast charging of the smartphone.
The device runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow with Meizu’s Flyme 5 OS launcher over the top. While Pro 6 featured a 21 MP Sony IMX230 rear camera the upgraded Pro 6S model features a rear camera of 12 MP Sony IMX386 image sensor with 1.25-micron pixel and f/2.0 aperture. Other features include 5 MP front snapper, custom 6P lens, zero shutter lag, ring flash, PDAF, laser focus and a four-axis Optical Image Stabilisation feature. The device also packs multiple shooting options such as manual mode, Pro mode and a new night mode. Connectivity options comprise of USB 3.1 type-C port, 802.11ac WiFi, Bluetooth 4.1, a 3.5 mm audio jack and VoLTE support.
There is no official word yet regarding its launch for other international markets. It will be available for sale at CNY 2699 (Rs.27,000 approx.) in China.
