The car that has become the hottest topic of discussion among automobile enthusiasts is Maruti Suzuki S-Cross. For long, Indians have been waiting for the launch of S-Cross and finally we have the official unveiling set for August 5th. Consumers are also excited for the launch as this ride will be sold exclusively via the NEXA showroom, a modern retail channel set up by the company that focuses on giving visitors a lifetime experience. Maruti Suzuki has promised a hundred of such NEXA showrooms across India. The S-Cross is set to compete against the likes of Renault Duster & Nissan Terrano with the high-end competing against Mahindra XUV-500.

Maruti Suzuki S-Cross has the looks department working in its favour. The sloping roof gives it the sporty look and the elegant contours stand out. The bold & dynamic front is coupled with a trapezoid form. This crossover will compete with SUVs as well as compact SUVs, instead of premium hatchback category. So, you get the best of both worlds i.e. comfort of a sedan and SUV-like features.

The S-Cross features two diesel engine options with a 320 DDiS model that comes with a new 1.6-litre MultiJet diesel engine with a variable turbocharger giving a total output of 118bhp and 320NM of torque. This offers a mileage of 22.6 km/l. While the 200 DDiS model gets the 1.3-litre diesel engine that produces 89bhp and 200Nm of torque with a five speed manual transmission and a mileage of 23.65km/l.

The interiors offer spacious seating, a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system, dual air-bags, and all-wheel disc brakes with ABS. The car features Cruise Control, automatic headlamps, rain-sensing wipers and climate control features as well.

Available in 5 color options: Blue, White, Silver, Brown and Grey, the Maruti Suzuki S-Cross model comes in eight different variants - 1.3L Sigma, Delta, Zeta and Alpha as well as 1.6L Sigma, Delta, Zeta and Alpha.

Details about the pricing will be announced tomorrow, however, it is expected that the car will be priced between Rs. 8-11 Lakh. What are your thoughts about the brand new crossover from Maruti Suzuki? Share with us in comments below.
