LYF Water 5 Smartphone: Android Lollipop, VoLTE & Amazon Exclusive For Rs. 11,699

Reliance Jio owned LYF smartphone brand has been rising steadily since its launch. Today it is the fifth biggest brand in the Indian smartphone market. LYF has different ranges of smartphones based on different elements of life. Its Water range got an addition today with the new LYF Water 5 handset. The LYF Water 5 Android Lollipop smartphone will be sold exclusively on Amazon India website for Rs. 11,699. While LYF has been spreading its wings in brick and mortar shops, this is the first time it has turned to the online marketplace to sell its products.


The LYF Water 5 sports a Dragontrail glass protected 5-inch IPS panel HD (1280 x 720 pixels) resolution display that has a pixels per inch figure of 294. Underneath the hood we find a Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 (MSM8916) SoC that houses a 1.2GHz quad-core processor, Adreno 306 GPU and 2GB of RAM. The LYF Water 5 smartphone is a dual-SIM one where you can use one SIM on 4G and the second SIM on 2G, not 3G. The LYF Water 5 has an internal memory of 16GB and you cannot expand that storage beyond that due to unavailability of a microSD card slot.

When it comes to cameras on the LYF Water 5 we have a 13MP auto focus camera on the rear that is accompanied by flash. The front camera has a resolution of 5MP. The smartphone is powered by a user non removable 2920mAh Lithium-ion battery that is claimed to offer 15 hours of talk time and 290 hours of standby. The LYF Water 5 smartphone features connectivity options like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and microUSB. The sensor list on the LYF Water 5 includes gravity sensor, ambient light sensor, proximity Sensor, e-compass and accelerometer. The smartphone measure 142mm x 70.5mm x 7.7mm and weighs 136 grams.
