LG Electronics has launched its much-talked about smartphone - LG G2 in India with 4G at a price of Rs. 49,000 for 32 GB variant and Rs. 46,000 for 16 GB variant. The LG G2 4G phablet can now be bought on the online stores and retail outlets in 3 color variants - black, white or gold. Interestingly, the company has tied up with India's major telecom operator - Airtel and the chipmaker Qualcomm to set up a 'LTE experience zone in Bangalore'. In the special zone, customers can witness the high-speed internet services offered by 4G LTE. So, if you are in Bangalore and planning to buy the 4G-enabled LG G2, that's the place you should visit. The LTE zone will be available for three weeks starting from 26th March. LG Electronic India's marketing head Mr. Amit Gujral believes that 4G is set to become main stream in India by the end of next year and LG G2 is the first step for India customers to move in that direction.
Let us take a look at the important details in the specs list for LG G2. Powered by a 2.26 GHz Quad core Snapdragon processor, the LG G2 features a 5.2-inch screen with 1920 x 1080 pixel HD IPS display. Packed inside the smartphone is a 2 GB RAM and the battery powering this phone up is a 3000mAh Li-Polymer one. There's a 13 megapixel OIS (Optical Image Stabilizer) camera on the rear end with 8x digital zoom and Sapphire Crystal Glass Lens. It supports full HD 60fps video recording and playback. On the front, there's a 2.1 megapixel camera.
Running atop a the latest version of Android 4.2.2 i.e. Jelly Bean, the LG G2 features a number of additional apps that include - Answer Me, Quickremote, Slide Aside, Private Mode, Guest Mode and Plug & Pop. For connectivity, there's the usual support for LTE-A (upto 150Mbps), WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0, microSD card Slot and microUSB slot.
LG Electronics had also unveiled a line of premium cases called the QuickWindow Case last year. Those looking to buy this phone can get the LG G2 QuickWindow Case that features an opening or "window" on the cover. Through this window, a user can glance at various information displays without having to open the cover flap. By swiping a finger across the window, the QuickWindow UX appears that displays the clock, weather report, alarm, music player and even the incoming phone call details and incoming text messages. It is available in seven different vibrant colors, including black, white, pink, purple, blue, mint and yellow.
