LG Electronics Inc. has today introduced the highly anticipated tablet called the LG G Pad 8.3 - a tablet with really high resolution of 1920 x 1200 and the 273 ppi in 21 cm diagonal,WUXGA IPS display. This is the company's second tablet after the Optimus Pad LTE and the tech specs, features and price of the tablet had#-Link-Snipped-#ahead of IFA Berlin. This small-sized tablet was recently teased in an YouTube video (attached below). The LG G Pad 8.3 is the first tablet by the South Korean firm in nearly two years. And unlike its predecessor which sported an 8.9-inch screen, the G Pad 8.3 utilized a smaller 8.3 inch screen.

LG has also added a feature that allows users to check and send messages received by their Android smartphone from the tablet - in case the user really has to choose among both devices. The LG G Pad 8.3 specs have been confirmed with a Snapdragon 600 processor and 2 GB of RAM. The G Pad 8.3 is released with Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean. LG has customized the interface with its Optimus UI software. Speaking of high resolution displays, LG Display, the company which has always been bringing innovation and never seen before awesomeness to our screens, has come up with the world's first Quad HD AH-IPS LCD panel for smartphones that has a resolution of 2560x1440 pixels with 538ppi. That means we just doubled the clarity of the retina displays that have been awing us for some time now. This is the Blu-Ray quality image and video for the mobile devices. This new 5.5-inch Quad HD panel is the highest resolution and ppi (pixel per inch) mobile panel to date. Dr. Byeong-koo Kim, Vice President and Head of LG Display's IT and Mobile Development Group says, "With this breakthrough, LG Display will continue to raise new standards for mobile resolution and lead the mobile display market."

We think that in due time, the Quad HD display panel will also make it to the LG tablets and smartphones. Coming back to the LG G Pad 8.3 - the new tablet, which is available for Wifi only version, will be sold for 550,000 won ($510) from next week in South Korea and will be introduced in some 30 countries by the end of this year. That's all we know for now. Check out the teaser video below, if you already haven't.

A lot of people seem to be comparing the LG G Pad's display to that of Apple's and Google's tablets.
The news of this launch comes during a time at which Apple has been unable to roll out a new version of its popular iPad Mini with a high-resolution retina display.

The Google Nexus 7 (2013 model) which delivers a stunning 323 pixels per inch - is also one step ahead in the game.
So, do you think that the right kind of tech specs list can compete with the likes of iPad even if the displays give a lesser pixel per inch resolution?
