Lenovo Unveils S930, S650 & A859; Features, Specs & Pricing Detailed

Lenovo not just unveiled the Lenovo Vibe Z Launched; Quad-core Processor, Gesture Controls, Jelly Bean & LTE For $549, it also added two new smartphones to its S Series and one to the A series with the launch of S930, S650 & A859 respectively. We start with the cheapest of the three, the A859. While it may cost just $219 (13,640 INR) it does come with decent features. It is a Dual SIM smartphone which has a 5-inch 720p HD IPS panel display with a pixel density figure of 294ppi. It runs Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean) on a 1.3GHz MediaTek 6582 Quad-Core processor and 1GB of RAM. It has got an 8MP rear and a 1.6 MP front camera. It has got an average 8 GB of internal storage which can be expanded by using microSD cards of up to 32 GB. It is equipped with Wi-Fi & Bluetooth 3.0 connectivity and is powered by 2250mAh Li-Po battery. The #-Link-Snipped-# is up on sale from today.

Lenovo A859

Next we move on to the #-Link-Snipped-# which costs $229 (14,263 INR) and runs Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean) with the help of the same processor and RAM as that of the A859 but it has got a slightly smaller screen of 4.7 inches with a qHD (960 x 540 pixels) resolution. It is equipped with an 8MP rear and a 0.3 MP front camera. The S650 has got an internal memory of 8GB and includes a microSD card slot to expand the storage. This Dual-SIM smartphone works on WCDMA and GSM networks and has got Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 3.0 connectivity along with A-GPS navigation. Its 2000mAh battery can help the smartphone give you up to 12 hours of talk time. The Lenovo S650 has got a polycarbonate body with fabric-feel texture and metal trim, it weighs 126 grams and measures 138 x 69.8 x 8.7mm. This one too can be bought from today in markets where Lenovo sells its smartphones.

Finally the #-Link-Snipped-#, this one is the priciest among the all since it bears a $319 (19,870 INR) price tag but it demands that sort of money due to its big 6-inch 720p display. It uses its two front facing speakers and Dolby Digital Plus DS1 equipped headphone jack to make it a entertainment powerhouse. Underneath it has the same innards as the previous two smartphones and runs the same version of the operating system. It has got a 8MP rear and a 1.6 MP front camera. This one too has got Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity and is powered by a 3000mAh battery to help it deliver 14 hours of talk time. This one too will be available for purchase in the markets where Lenovo operates its smartphone business.

    After looking at Vibe Z in $549, these devices are looking way more costly (features to price) to me,

    I couldn't find anything impressive in these device other than tagging them as low-medium end android phones. With Samsung already hit in that segment I am not sure if Lenovo is going to get much of the success in this segment.

    The only eye catching I noticed was battery (3000 maH), not bad !
    What's your views on these low end Lenovo phones?
