Lenovo S5000 Tablet Priced In India At Rs. 10,990 | Specs Reviewed

Lenovo India has today launched a new Android tablet in the market with Lenovo S5000. Running on Android Jelly Bean 4.2 operating system, the S5000 will be upgradable to Android 4.3. The company has featured a 7-inch HD screen with the tablet that has a resolution of 1280x800 pixel and supports multi-touch & 178o wide viewing angle. Powered by a MediaTek 1.2 GHz quad-core processor, the Lenovo S5000 tablet is priced at Rs. 10,990 and will compete with the likes of ASUS Fonepad, Xolo Play, Google Nexus 7, Flipkart DigiFlip Pro and Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 - which fall between the price range of Rs. 10,000 - 15,000.

As we take a look down the tech specs list, we find a 3450 mAh Li-Ion Polymer battery powering up this device and the company claims that it offers up to 8+ hours of non-stop WiFi web browsing and up to 6+ hours of HD video playback. On the inside, the storage core is a 1 GB DDR3 RAM and 16 GB internal eMMC storage. The user's connectivity needs are catered to using Bluetooth 3.0/4.0, 3G network HSPA+ and the sensors listed are GPS, Accelerometer and light. At 7.9 mm the tablet looks super slim and weighs about 249 g. The Lenovo S5000 tablet sports a 5 megapixel camera on the rear with auto-focus and a 1.6 megapixel snapper on the front.

Available in a single color option - Silver Grey, the tablet needs a micro SIM card to run. Other than that, the apps that come pre-installed are Mobile Security, Kingsoft Office, Lenovo AnyShare, Skype, Lenovo Launcher and ES File Explorer.
