Lease on a dhcp server

Hi,

We all know that a DHCP server provides an IP address to the machine on a network for a certain duration of time called lease time.

How can we find out its value in Windows or Ubuntu14.04 version.

Also let me know if the address provided to me gets lost if I quit my web browser?
