Lava A48 With Android Lollipop OS & Dated Specs Spotted Online

After officially unveiling the Lava A79: Front 2MP Camera With Flash & Android Lollipop For Rs. 5699 yesterday, Lava has inadvertently taken the covers off another entry level smartphone today. The Lava A48 was spotted on the official company website by various media houses today. The Lava A48 is a bargain basement entry level smartphone with specs that would not wow anyone except the first time smartphone buyer. The Lava A48 sports a 4inch WVGA (800x480 pixels) resolution display that as you expected isn’t protected by any glass display. Underneath the hood, we have an unspecified chipset that houses a 1.3GHz quad-core processor and 512MB of RAM which can barely run the installed Android Lollipop OS let alone serve a satisfactory multitasking experience.

When it comes to the internal memory of the Lava A48 we have 4GB of storage out of which a major chunk is taken away by the operating system and preinstalled apps. You have to shell extra cash to go for a microSD card to expand that storage to up to 32GB. The Lava A48 has the cameras of a phone that debuted in 2008, as we get a really below average 2MP sensor on the rear with LED flash and a 0.3MP camera on the front. The Lava A48 features connectivity options like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and microUSB. The Lava A48 thankfully is a 3G enabled dual SIM equipped smartphone.

The Lava A48 measures 125.8 X 64 X 9.9 mm and weights 116 grams. The smartphone is powered by a 1300mAh battery that can barely suffice for half a day of usage. The Lava A48 will be sold in White and Gold colour variant at an unspecified amount at a later date. We shall keep you updated on the pricing and availability information but its best if you stayed away from it.
