Kobo Vox Launched – New eReader By Kobo Worth $199

Kobo, a Canadian company has declared the launch of its new tablet, the Kobo Vox. The company already has around 5 million total users all round the world. The tablet is also being called as the “first social eReader”. It would include all the features to incorporate Facebook, Twitter and e – mail.

Features of the Kobo Vox: It will run on a somewhat different version of Android 2.3. It has the Kobo – App already installed as the software. Most of the android applications would run on Kobo Vox. The screen of the model has perfect readability even in bright sunshine. The price of this tablet is expected to be around $199. It has a 7 - inch screen which is a coloured touch screen. This would improve the reading experience. This new Kobo Vox tablet is similar to the Kindle Fire, but it offers downloading of applications and surfing through the web. It has a new program called the “Reading Life”, through which the user can share books, pages, texts, and statistical data with different users. Kobo Vox is an impressive and an in – expensive eReader that could gain users in the long run. The “pulse” icon, on the lower part of each page gives details about the number of users reading that page. This icon grows in size when it comes across more number of viewers to that particular page.

Other Features: it has 7 font styles, 42 sizes and day and night reading modes. It also offers brightness settings. It supports highlighting, dictionary look – up and automatically sets a bookmark at the page last read.

This eReader is also available to the international markets contrary to the Amazon that restricts its Kindle Fire to the US only. Also Kindle Fire has not mentioned anything about its readability in bright sunlight. Other competitor, the B&N lacks certain books that are available on the Kobo store, as mentioned in the “Reading Life” part.
