Kingdom Tower (Height: 1 Km) @ Jeddah To Be Designed By AS+GG

The Arabs love to break records and when it comes to constructing tallest towers in the world, money is no bar for them. We informed you few days ago that  #-Link-Snipped-# will steal the title of the World's Tallest Building from Burj Khalifa (Recommended: #-Link-Snipped-#). However, engineering the design of world's next tallest building is no simple job. Adrian Smith + Gordon Gill architecture has won the contract to design the Kingdom Tower at Jeddah near the Red Sea. The owners wanted to build a mile long tower, however the soil analysis at the construction site restricted the total height of the tower at one kilometer. AS+GG says the new tower will beat Burj Khalifa by at least 173 meters.
